At the front desk they told me the bad news but also informed me that my entire night was comped! NO CHARGE! Now THAT was an apology! They made no excuses for their mistake and compensated us for any inconvenience. When we checked out at 11:00 they informed us the entire resort was closing until they figured out what was going wrong. It didn't really bother us that much as we were sleeping. On the night we were there the entire resort lost power from 1:30 AM until about 5:00 AM. They actually treated us like they wanted us back and we WILL go back! Now, this is a fairly new casino so they are still working out a few bugs. They 'get' the idea to be gracious and thankful for your patronage. For the very first time at a local Wisconsin casino I felt like they actually cared that we were there. I have to mention how friendly everyone was. and it was unbelievable! Top notch food and top notch service. We ate at their upscale restaurant and I had lobster mac n cheese and my wife had grilled chicken alfredo. With our suite we got a really nice casino package that included lots of play and $20 in food coupons.

They use an electronic key-card system with a reader on the elevator, suite door, and on every exit door so, the entire place is very secure. I will attach lots of pictures so you can see. Our room had two TVs, lots of USB connections, microwave, fridge (extra for micro and fridge at Northstar and they actually have to bring it to your room), ice maker, Keurig machine, wet bar, clothes steamer, iron, ironing board, walk-in closet, and a lighting package that was very comforting.

I am not sure who they got to design the rooms but wow! We reserved the Bay Suite and it was well worth the extra 30 bucks. It was very nice and extremely comfortable with amenities I have only seen in Vegas casinos. Why that is such a difficult hurdle to overcome is beyond me. I can safely say it was the only casino hotel in the state of Wisconsin that got the bed right. Before I go any further I am going to give them a very high rating for the comfort of the king size bed we had in our suite.
